With over 55 interactive rides, live shows, developing workshops, driving tourist attractions and schools, all set in 150 acres of gorgeous parkland, the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is a distinct theme park for the whole household to enjoy.
We got the ultimate reserve & flight. It’s makes the journey very pricey however it made sure the kids in fact got to go on a good amount of flights.
We had used it before when it was referred to as qbot & you had the pager type thing to carry around.
The website/app is alot simpler to use. Now legoland isn’t limited to the number of pagers readily available it meant alot more people had the r & r which resulted in waiting in lines anyway.
You also can’t use it on the newer attractions. Its a fantastic park for kids under 13. After that, the older ones might find it boring.
We went for our sons 9th birthday, and he had a good time. Reached 09.30, having spent for basic parking in advance (unsure what the point of priority parking is unless you have major mobility concerns, as we were just a couple of minutes stroll from the entryway?). The park itself was fine to begin with, but started to get crazy busy from mid morning onwards. Our child is not much of an excitement seeker, so in that sense we were fortunate he wasn’t keen to go on every single trip, which is just as well as the lines for nearly everything were at least 45 minutes just for the smaller sized rides. However, managed to get on a few (Ninjago, Deep Sea Experience, Fate’s Bounty) with excusable queuing times. Mythica took forever (it broke down occasionally whilst queuing!), but was great, albeit short for the quantity of time queuing! Our boy enjoyed Miniland which was excellent as was the only location that was quieter. We paid for lunch ahead of time at Pirates Burger Kitchen (arrived just after 12 and got in after a short wait, long lines after that!). It was great and saved lugging a picnic around (although take a lot of snacks with you for queues !!). We didn’t spend much there as had actually paid for lunch beforehand and took drinks/snacks with us. In general a good day however less people would make it a far better and more enjoyable experience!

Entry and exit
Parking was strange, as they ask you to leave a space of one car in between automobiles due to social distancing. We got here late morning, so after a while of driving about looking for a complimentary and not a really faraway spot, we just parked in one of those empty areas … I think leaving a space between automobiles is anticipated in the early morning, so individuals keep their distance. By the time we were parking there was barely anyone there..
On entry our temperature level was taken, and bags cursorily examined. Tickets were scanned off our phones. As we showed up around 11.30 AM there were no queues and we got directly in, very quick procedure. I have seen some reviews stating that early morning lines can get long due to these checks..
As we arrived late, we were very late leaving, and again went out and eliminated with no waiting around..
Coronavirus measures inside the park.
You have to wear a mask on some of the trips if you are over 11 years old. Anything that is inside, and a few of the bigger trips are ones where mask is compulsory. Do bring a reusable one, or purchase one from the stores, but the ride attendants likewise provide non reusable ones for individuals that have actually forgotten theirs.. On the flights, there will be empty rows or seats in between various household groups. The rides are likewise regularly cleaned up – some seem sprayed after each run like Mia’s Riding Experience, and some occasionally cleaned with wipes, like Fairytale Brook. On the Monster Houseparty there were also extra air filterers within, and family groups were asked to sit and stand spaced apart – I presume similar procedures remain in location in other inside rides/attractions too..
Couple of trips were closed due to social distancing procedures or scheduled upkeep, however general I felt there was lots of trips and tourist attractions left..
Plenty of hand sanitisers are dotted around the park, and on entry and exit for all the rides. People did appear to utilize them quite regularly..
There was a one way system for all the shops, and masks had to be worn. We didn’t go to any of the within Lego exhibits, and really do not even know if they are open. If they are open, a one way system and a mask would certainly be in place in those too..
There are markers on the ground with arrows pointing that people must stroll on the left hand side – most people ignored this to be sincere, and the signs were quite simple to miss out on anyhow..
Sorry to say this, however if you are concerned with social distancing, a theme park is not for you and Legoland will not be an excellent experience for you. People are walking all over the place, not paying a blind little attention to social distancing, practically running into each other..
It does appear that the intake of people is lower, however due to the coronavirus determines the flights take less people in and extra cleansing creates stops briefly in the service. This indicates that the lines are as long as ever. While there are social distancing pointers on the ground people just do not pay attention to them. And even if people did, the method the lines snake around you would be standing very near to individuals on your left and ideal anyway..
Can you stay overnight at Legoland?
I was not overly concerned. I would have chosen good social distancing, however I did not let it ruin my day.
We brought our own picnic, but if you want to purchase food at Legoland, be mindful that there may be long queues for food and just limited food places are open..
Additionally for drinks there are a few (not many) drink dispensers around the park – I saw one at Heartlake City and around the driving rides. The all you can drink soft beverages won’t work without the unique cup. Legoland Windsor Getting There
