With over 55 interactive rides, live shows, constructing workshops, driving attractions and schools, all set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is an unique theme park for the whole household to delight in.
We got the ultimate reserve & flight. It’s makes the journey very expensive however it made sure the kids really got to go on a good amount of rides.
We had actually used it prior to when it was referred to as qbot & you had the pager type thing to bring around.
The website/app is alot simpler to utilize. Now legoland isn’t restricted to the number of pagers offered it indicated alot more individuals had the r & r which resulted in waiting in lines anyway.
You also can’t use it on the newer attractions. Its a great park for kids under 13. After that, the older ones may find it boring.
We chose our boys 9th birthday, and he had a great time. Reached 09.30, having paid for standard parking beforehand (not sure what the point of top priority parking is unless you have serious mobility problems, as we were just a couple of minutes stroll from the entrance?). The park itself was great to begin with, however started to get insane hectic from mid morning onwards. Our child is not much of a thrill seeker, so in that sense we were lucky he wasn’t keen to go on every flight, which is just as well as the lines for almost whatever were at least 45 mins just for the smaller sized trips. Nevertheless, managed to get on a couple of (Ninjago, Deep Sea Experience, Destiny’s Bounty) with not too bad queuing times. Mythica took forever (it broke down regularly whilst queuing!), however was great, albeit short for the amount of time queuing! Our son loved Miniland which was excellent as was the only place that was quieter. We spent for lunch in advance at Pirates Burger Cooking area (got there just after 12 and got in after a brief wait, long lines after that!). It was fine and saved carrying a picnic around (although take lots of treats with you for queues !!). We didn’t spend much there as had actually paid for lunch beforehand and took drinks/snacks with us. In general a good day but less individuals would make it a better and more pleasant experience!
What is the best age for Legoland Windsor? Legoland Windsor Unlimited Drinks
Entry and exit
Parking was odd, as they ask you to leave an area of one car between vehicles due to social distancing. We showed up late early morning, so after a while of driving about trying to find a free and not an extremely distant spot, we simply parked in one of those empty spots … I suspect leaving a space in between cars and trucks is expected in the morning, so people keep their range. By the time we were parking there was hardly anyone there..
On entry our temperature was taken, and bags cursorily examined. As we got here around 11.30 AM there were no lines and we got directly in, extremely quick procedure.
As we got here late, we were really late leaving, and once again went out and eliminated without any waiting around..
Coronavirus determines inside the park.
If you are over 11 years of ages, you have to use a mask on some of the flights. Anything that is indoors, and some of the larger trips are ones where mask is obligatory. Do bring a reusable one, or purchase one from the shops, however the flight attendants also give out non reusable ones for people that have forgotten theirs.. Legoland Windsor Unlimited Drinks
On the trips, there will be empty rows or seats in between different household groups. The trips are also routinely cleaned – some appear to be sprayed after each run like Mia’s Riding Experience, and some periodically cleaned with wipes, like Fairy tale Brook. On the Beast House Party there were also extra air filterers within, and household groups were asked to stand and sit spaced apart – I suspect similar procedures are in location in other inside rides/attractions too..
Few trips were closed due to social distancing procedures or scheduled upkeep, however total I felt there was plenty of attractions and rides left..
Lots of hand sanitisers are dotted around the park, and on entry and exit for all the trips. Individuals did appear to utilize them quite often..
There was a one way system for all the shops, and masks needed to be used. We didn’t go to any of the within Lego exhibitions, and in fact don’t even know if they are open. If they are open, a one way system and a mask would definitely be in location in those too..
There are markers on the ground with arrows pointing that individuals ought to stroll on the left hand side – most people overlooked this to be honest, and the signs were rather simple to miss out on anyhow..
Sorry to say this, however if you are interested in social distancing, an amusement park is not for you and Legoland will not be a good experience for you. Individuals are strolling all over the place, not paying a blind bit of attention to social distancing, virtually bumping into each other..
It does appear that the consumption of people is lower, but due to the coronavirus measures the rides take less individuals in and extra cleansing produces stops briefly in the service. While there are social distancing reminders on the ground people just do not pay attention to them.
Can you stay overnight at Legoland?
I was not extremely concerned. I would have preferred great social distancing, however I did not let it ruin my day.
We brought our own picnic, however if you wish to purchase food at Legoland, be mindful that there may be long lines for food and only minimal food locations are open..
In addition for drinks there are a few (not lots of) drink dispensers around the park – I saw one at Heartlake City and around the driving flights. The all you can drink soft drinks will not work without the unique cup. Legoland Windsor Unlimited Drinks
